My mouth is so tough a thorny cactus doesn't bother it. I love to chow down grass and other plants That grow here on the Arabian desert

How To Pray Five Times A Day With A Busy Work Schedule.

Before I genuinely began to cultivate and nurture my relationship with God, I regarded the five daily prayers that Islam enjoins on believers as laborious. It seemed impractical to expect that I would be able to stop what I was doing during my busy work schedule to take time out and pray.
2011-11-20-sm1.jpg
Working as a news wire journalist, I was often spending upwards of 10 hours a day in the office or at conferences, interviews and meetings, barely able to make time for a lunch break. If I wasn't working, my time was divided between house chores, errands, family and friends, and exercise. I was punctual with everything in my life, except that I was late five times a day.

In my mind, it was not viable to expect that I could wake up before the crack of dawn to pray the early-morning prayer, fajr, otherwise I would be too tired to work effectively later that morning. It also seemed inefficient to interrupt my work meetings to pray duhr, the mid-day prayer, and asr, the afternoon prayer.
Making the sunset prayer maghrib was often a challenge because the window to pray is typically quite short and coincides with the time between finishing work, having dinner and returning home. So, in effect, the only prayer that was feasible for me to pray on time was isha, the evening prayer. For most of my life, thus, I would at best pray all five prayers in the evening, or skip prayers here and there to accommodate my immediate commitments.

Noah's Ark found!

SalafiJustice on Oct 18, 2008: Quran 11-44. And it was said: "O earth! Swallow up your water, and O sky! Withhold (your rain)." And the water was diminished (made to subside) and the Decree (of Allaah) was fulfilled (i.e. the destruction of the people of Nuh (Noah). AND IT (THE SHIP) RESTED ON MOUNT JUDI, and it was said: "Away with the people who are Zalimuun (polytheists and wrong-doing)!"

Martin Wroe, LONDON - Noah's Ark has been found on the Turkish-Iranian border, 32 kilometres from Mount Ararat, according to the leader of a team of scientists that has been investigating the site for six years.

The Turkish government is so convinced by the findings that, after years of intransigence, it has designated the site one of special archaeological interest and agreed to its excavation next summer. The remote site contains a buried, ship-like object, resting an altitude of 2,300 metres. At 170 metres long and 45 metres wide, it conforms almost exactly to the 300 cubit by 50 cubit boat that God told Noah to build, according to Genesis 6 in the Bible. On surrounding terrain, the American and Middle Eastern scientists have identified huge stones with holes carved at one end, which they believe are "drogue-stones," dragged behind ships in the ancient world to stabilise them.

Radar soundings indicate unusual levels of iron-oxide distribution. Salih Bayraktutan, head of geology at Turkey's Ataturk University, estimates the age of the 'vessel' at more than 100,000 years. "It is a man-made structure and for sure it is Noah's Ark." The site is directly below the mountain of Al Judi, named in the Koran as the Ark's resting place. David Fasold, an American shipwreck specialist with no religious affiliation, has led the investigation. He says subsurface radar surveys of the site have produced "very good pictures." "The radar imagery at about 25 metres down from the stern is so clear that you can count the floorboards between the walls." He believes the team has found the fossilised remains of the upper deck and that the original reed substructure has disappeared. But the findings have infuriated the scores of Christian Ark-hunters who travel to Turkey, convinced the Ark will only be found on Mount Ararat.

Some of Fasold's team of geophysicists and geologists are reserving final judgement until the excavation and carbon-dating. But in a British TV series on the environment next month, team member Vendyl Jones, a Middle East archaeologist and inspiration for film character Indiana Jones, says it is "between maybe and probably" that they have found Noah's Ark. Inilah Akibatnya Bila Berkawan Dengan Pas, PKR

A protest against luxurious Iftar.

Uploaded by VOAvideo on Aug 25, 2011 - In Turkey, the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan has put the spotlight on the increasing divide between rich and poor. The country's growing affluent class -- a product of a decade of unprecedented economic growth -- has resulted in increased numbers of people celebrating the iftar dinner at luxurious restaurants and hotels. But that has sparked a growing controversy in the country, as Dorian Jones reports from Istanbul.

Converts to Islam take fasting in stride
(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - For new converts to Islam, fasting can be a challenge both physically and mentally.

But judging by the fairly new converts The Malay Mail recently met at the Muslim Welfare Organisation of Malaysia (Perkim) in Jalan Ipoh, they have become accustomed to fasting throughout Ramadan.

Wani Saleha Abdullah 35, embraced Islam shortly after arriving in Sabah in February 2009 and works as a part-time maid.

"My very first day of fasting two years ago was very difficult and I was only able to fast for the first week before giving up," said Wani, who lives with her Sabahan husband, a soldier, and his son from a previous marriage, in Ampang.

"Last year, I managed to fast continuously for the first two weeks and for this year, I believe I can fast the entire month of Ramadan."

The Hidden History - The Khazar Empire.

AllahsCreation on Jan 16, 2010 - My new video explaining the hidden history of the kingdom, known as Khazaria. This Video features Islamic Scholar Sheikh Imran Hosein explaining the connection between Khazars & Jewish faith. Historians don't really like to talk about this subject but unfortunately for them vast body of historical evidence, much of which has come to light only in the last three to five decades is out in the open & up for reserch for anyone who wants to reserch it. i will begin by recommending the book called The Thirteenth Tribe written by Arthur Koestler.. in this book Arthur Koestler defuses anti-Semitism by undermining the identification of European Jews with the Jews of the Bible. In this it will be shown that the cry of "anti-Semitism" hurled against those who do oppose the international actions of ones calling themselves Jews, would be much like an immigrated Scotsman to America deciding to live on an Apache Indian reservation, coming to dominate its politics and economics, and then claiming that anyone disagreeing with his political and social agenda is racist and anti-Apache in their beliefs.
Koestler himself did not see alleged Khazar ancestry as diminishing the claim of Jews to Israel, which he felt was based on the United Nations mandate, and not on Biblical covenants or genetic inheritance....
This video was made not to offend anyone but to understand our history..
Masonic media is making the Palestinian & Israeli conflict look like some sort of religious war when in reality true followers of all three faiths (Jews, Christians, and Muslims) get along with each others and History can prove that.

Myriam Francois-Cerrah Embraces Islam

Myriam Francois-Cerrah
Myriam Francois-Cerrah
I embraced Islam after graduating from Cambridge. Prior to that I was a skeptical Catholic; a believer in God but with a mistrust of organized religion.
The Qur’an was pivotal for me. I first tried to approach it in anger, as part of an attempt to prove my Muslim friend wrong. Later I began reading it with a more open mind.
The opening of Al Fatiha, with its address to the whole of mankind, psychologically stopped me in my tracks. It spoke of previous scriptures in a way which I both recognized, but also differed. It clarified many of the doubts I had about Christianity. It made me an adult as I suddenly realized that my destiny and my actions had consequences for which I alone would now be held responsible.
In a world governed by relativism, it outlined objective moral truths and the foundation of morality. As someone who’d always had a keen interest in philosophy, the Qur’an felt like the culmination of all of this philosophical cogitation. It combined Kant, Hume, Sartre and Aristotle. It somehow managed to address and answer the deep philosophical questions posed over centuries of human existence and answer its most fundamental one, ‘why are we here?

US ex-Guantanamo guard prays in Makkah

Former soldier converted to Islam after chat with Moroccan prisoner:

When US soldier Terry Brooks was sent to join military guards at the infamous Guantanamo prison that houses Moslem militants from Taliban and Al-Qaeda, he had not thought he would embrace the religion of those prisoners. After a few chats with a Moroccan inmate, he converted to Islam in 2003.

Brooks was caught by local reporters this week praying in the western Saudi town of Madina before heading for nearby Makkah to perform his first pilgrimage (Umra), which he said had been his dream over the past years.

The Saudi Arabic language daily Okaz said it waited for Brooks to finish his prayers and talked to him about his conversion to Islam. He credited “prisoner number 590” named Ahmed Al Rashdi of Morocco for his “landmark” decision. After converting, he was expelled from the army.

Brooks told the paper he was sent to Guantanamo long before 2003 and later started to mingle with some prisoners there.

How I came to love the veil.

Iused to look at veiled women as quiet, oppressed creatures — until I was captured by the Taliban.
In September 2001, just 15 days after the terrorist attacks on the United States, I snuck into Afghanistan, clad in a head-to-toe blue burqa, intending to write a newspaper account of life under the repressive regime. Instead, I was discovered, arrested and detained for 10 days. I spat and swore at my captors; they called me a “bad” woman but let me go after I promised to read the Quran and study Islam. (Frankly, I’m not sure who was happier when I was freed — they or I.)
Back home in London, I kept my word about studying Islam — and was amazed by what I discovered. I’d been expecting Quran chapters on how to beat your wife and oppress your daughters; instead, I found passages promoting the liberation of women. Two-and-a-half years after my capture, I converted to Islam, provoking a mixture of astonishment, disappointment and encouragement among friends and relatives.
Now, it is with disgust and dismay that I watch here in Britain as former foreign secretary Jack Straw describes the Muslim nikab — a face veil that reveals only the eyes — as an unwelcome barrier to integration, with Prime Minister Tony Blair, writer Salman Rushdie and even Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi leaping to his defense.

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.

Well, for example, the other day, Mary my wife and I
went into town and visited a shop. We were only in
there for about 5 minutes. When we came out,
there was a traffic warden writing out a parking ticket.

We went up to him and I said, 'Come on, man,
how about giving a senior citizen a break?'
He ignored us and continued writing the ticket.
I called him a dumb ass. He glared at me and started
writing another ticket for having worn-out tyres.

So Mary called him a shit head.  He finished the
second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first.
Then he started writing a third ticket.
This went on for about 20 minutes.
The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.
Just then our bus arrived, and we got on it
and went home. We try to have a little fun each day
now that we're retired. It's important at our age.

Who frowned at the blind man?

In The Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful

At least everyone is in agreement that the verses 80:1-10 refer to an incident in Mecca when Abdullah bin Umm Maktum, a blind man, came to a gathering where the Prophet was talking to some people among whom were some leaders of Quraysh. When Abdullah bin Umm Maktum came to that gathering, someone frowned and turned away from him.

Question: Who frowned and turned away from the blind man?

The Qur’an does not give the name. The Sunni version of the event say that it was the Prophet of Islam who frowned and most Shi’I sources, following the teachings of the Imams of Ahlu ‘l-Bayt (who obviously knew the Prophet better than others) say that it was one the leaders of the Quraysh who frowned and turned away from the blind man.

Obviously the correct version is that which does not contradict the Qur’an and no one can challenge this method of determining the significance of any event or incident mentioned in the Qur’an including identifying the person or persons involved in a particular event or incident.

You Must Know This Man.

You may be an antheist or an agnostic; or you may belong to any of the religious denominations that exist in the world today. You may be a communist or a believer in democracy and freedom. No matter what you are, and no matter what your ideological and political beliefs, personal and social habits happen to be -- YOU MUST STILL KNOW THIS MAN.

ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA confirms:
"....a mass of detail in the early sources show that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were like-wise honest and upright men." (Vol. 12)

GEORGE BERNARD SHAW said about him:
"He must be called the Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness." (THE GENUINE ISLAM, Singapore, Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936)

He was by far the most remarkable man that ever set foot on this earth. He preached a religion, founded a state, built a nation, laid down a moral code, initiated numerous social and political reforms, established a powerful and dynamic society to practice and represent his teachings and completely revolutionized the worlds of human thought and behavior for all times to come.

"HIS NAME IS MUHAMMAD" May Peace of God Be Upon Him (pbuh)
He was born in Arabia in the year 570 C.E. (common era), started his mission of preaching the religion of Truth, Islam (submission to One God) at the age of forty and departed from this world at the age of sixty-three.

During this short period of 23 years of his Prophethood, he changed the complete Arabian peninsula from paganism and idolatry to worship of One God, from tribal quarrels and wars to national solidarity and cohesion, from drunkenness and debauchery to sobriety and piety, from lawlessness and anarchy to disciplined living, from utter bankruptcy to the highest standards of moral excellence. Human history has never known such a complete transformation of a people or a place before or since - and IMAGINE all these unbelievable wonders in JUST OVER TWO DECADE

Malaysia warns Muslims of Valentine's Day 'trap'

Women shout slogans for the anti-Valentine's Day Campaign, near Kuala Lumpur on 11 February 2011Muslims make up nearly two-thirds of Malaysia's 28 million population

Malaysia has stepped up a campaign to stop Muslims celebrating Valentine's Day - labelling it a "trap" that could encourage immoral behaviour.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said Monday's celebration of romantic love was "not suitable" for Muslims.
Several Malaysian states are planning to carry out checks on hotels to stop young couples having premarital sex.
The anti-Valentine's Day campaign by the country's Islamic authorities goes back to a fatwa issued in 2005.

Leaflets have been distributed to Muslim university students urging them to avoid Monday's celebration.
The government-run Department of Islamic Development, which handles religious policies, has launched a publicity campaign called "Mind the Valentine's Day Trap".
Wan Mohamad Sheikh Abdul Aziz, the department's chief, told state media: "In reality, as well as historically, the celebration of Valentine's Day is synonymous with vice activities.

He's converted from a rugby league teen sensation into an All Black juggernaut, and along the way become a promising heavyweight boxer.
But Sonny Bill Williams has also made a spiritual conversion to Islam.
While rumours of the 25-year-old sporting superstar's religious beliefs have circulated for some time, the Herald on Sunday can reveal he made the leap of faith two years ago.
He has since become the first Muslim to wear the All Black jersey, and requested halal food during the Northern Hemisphere tour last year.
The Muslim holy month of Ramadan, when followers are forbidden from eating between dawn and sunset, falls in August this year - when the All Blacks play three Tri Nations matches. It is during the final build-up to the Rugby World Cup.

Tazkirah : As the current year comes to and end and we start a new year.

Prophet Muhammad  reminds us,  "There are two of God's favors that are forgotten by many people: health and free time."

As the current year comes to and end and we start a new year, the following verses of the Quran reflect on the importance of time.

Your Guardian-Lord is God, Who created the heavens and the earth in six eons, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He covers the night as a veil over the day, each seeking the other in swift succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be God, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds! - (Quran 7:54
The number of months in the sight of God is twelve (in a year) - so ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred: this is the ever-true law [of God]. So wrong not yourselves therein, and combat the Pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that God is with those who restrain themselves. - (Quran9:36
Are they, then, not aware that they are being tested year-in, year-out? And yet, they do not repent and nor do they learn a lesson (from it). - (Quran 9:126
