Kisah Ibn Taimiyyah bertemu Raja Tartar

“Beritahu Qazan, engkau mendakwa engkau seorang muslim, aku dengar bersama engkau ramai ulama. Habis mengapa engkau memerangi negeri kami?

Kata Raja Qazan: “Berdoalah untukku”.

Kata Ibn Taimiyyah:
Lalu Ibn Taimiyyah bertanya mereka:
“Mengapa kamu semua mengangkat jubah?”.

CODEPINK victorious over AIPAC assailant.

Article image
It is not every day that the voices for justice triumph over the actions of the rich and powerful, especially when it comes to the Israel-Palestine debate. That’s why it is so important to acknowledge and celebrate the settlement just negotiated by CODEPINK activist Rae Abileah and her lawyers after suing American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) volunteer lobbyist Stanley Shulster.
It all started on May 24, 2011, when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in Washington, DC speaking before a joint session of Congress. Abileah, a 29-year-old Jewish woman who has traveled to the West Bank, Israel and Gaza, was in the audience. She became more and more appalled as she listened to Netanyahu’s speech and watched our congresspeople giving him a stream of standing ovations. “I couldn't watch this hero's welcome for a man who supports the continued building of illegal settlements, won't lift the siege of Gaza, and refuses to negotiate with the Palestinian unity government,” said Abileah.
So Abileah did what most people would never have the courage to do. She got up and shouted: "No More Occupation! Stop Israeli War Crimes! Equal Rights for Palestinians!" And she unfurled a banner that read: “Occupying Land is Indefensible!”
She was immediately grabbed, violently pulled toward the floor, and gagged—not by the Capitol Police but by a member of the audience, Stanley Shulster, a retired attorney from Ashland, Oregon, who had traveled to Washington DC to attend the yearly conference of the Israel lobby group AIPAC.  An online bio for Shulster revealed that he was an unpaid lobbyist, a volunteer in the Israeli Defense Forces, and a Navy veteran.  In his bio Shulster bragged that he “grabbed the woman who heckled the Prime Minister while he was speaking.”

The second time is a charm for 85-year-old couple Lena Henderson and Roland Davis.
CBS News reported the couple married in their teens and were together for 20 years, during which time they had four children.
They divorced in 1964 but "always kept in touch," according to the Associated Press.
The couple will remarry on Saturday, with four generations of their family as witnesses.
"It's every child's dream, every child who has ever been in a family where divorce has occurred, that your parents would come back together," daughter, Renita Chadwick, told the Associated Press.
"We are all so ridiculously excited. We're like little children again," said Chadwick, who is herself a grandmother.
Davis' previous wife died several months ago and in an phone call on Easter with Henderson proposed to her. She said, yes.

China's most incredible mother: Staggering story of the woman who saved 30 abandoned babies after finding them dumped in the street with the trash.

A woman has been hailed a hero after details of her astonishing work with abandoned children has emerged.

Lou Xiaoying, now 88 and suffering from kidney failure, found and raised more than 30 abandoned Chinese babies from the streets of Jinhua, in the eastern Zhejiang province where she managed to make a living by recycling rubbish.

She and her late husband Li Zin, who died 17 years ago, kept four of the children and passed the others onto friends and family to start new lives.

Her youngest son Zhang Qilin - now aged just seven - was found in a dustbin by Lou when she was 82.

'Even though I was already getting old I could not simply ignore the baby and leave him to die in the trash. He looked so sweet and so needy. I had to take him home with me,' she said.

'I took him back to our home, which is a very small modest house in the countryside and nursed him to health. He is now a thriving little boy, who is happy and healthy.

'My older children all help look after Zhang Qilin, he is very special to all of us. I named him after the Chinese word for rare and precious.

'The whole thing started when I found the first baby, a little girl back in 1972 when I was out collecting rubbish. She was just lying amongst the junk on the street, abandoned. She would have died had we not rescued her and taken her in.

'Watching her grow and become stronger gave us such happiness and I realised I had a real love of caring for children.

'I realised if we had strength enough to collect garbage how could we not recycle something as important as human lives,' she explained.

'These children need love and care. They are all precious human lives. I do not understand how people can leave such a vulnerable baby on the streets.

Yahya Seymour: My journey to Islam

Published on Jul 17, 2012 by PressTVGlobalNews : In this edition of the show we talk to Yahya Seymour about his journey to Islam. He talks about his challenges and changes as a Muslim convert in Britain before and after embracing the world's fastest-growing religion. His journey to Islam began when he started to realize that he didn't believe that the truth was being told by the media and so, particularly after September 11th his interest in alternative views increased.

He was first introduced to Islam through a Muslim who gave him some leaflets to read. Reading them left him with no choice and he couldn't deny that he believed that Allah was the true God and the prophet Mohammad was his messenger.

Soon after he had a conversation about death which made him think about what he had read about Islam. This ultimately led him to take his Shahada. Interestingly, it was only after he reverted that he started discovering more about Islam. Becoming Muslim was a very natural choice that was also accepted by his family quite easily.
